Lipoprotein metabolism and biomarker of cardiovascular diseases

The research goal is the improvement of risk prediction in cardiovascular disease. In epidemiological studies, the prognostic value of empirically determined combinations of biomarkers is investigated. A focus is the relationship between parameters of lipoprotein metabolism and biomarkers for inflammation, endothelial dysfunction, renal function, oxidative stress and atherosclerosis.

Funding: ca. 610.000 €, including 205.000 from peer-review projects
