KIMCL

Today all clinical disciplines require laboratory testing. Every physician is regularly confronted with lab diagnostics. With this in mind, the Clinical Institute of Medical and Chemical Laboratory Diagnostics organizes how laboratory medicine is taught in the Medicine degree program at the Medical University of Graz. Case studies are used to address the interaction between lab analysis and clinical application of its findings.

Lehre

Research-led teaching

Our institute organizes a large part of the curriculum of the Medicine degree program at the Medical University of Graz, which is taught in its own series of courses as well as in courses of other disciplines.

Special study modules 58 and 62 provide great insight into the broad spectrum of analytical, clinical and scientific activities in laboratory medicine. In addition to institute staff, instructors from twelve other Med Uni Graz divisions and external speakers also participate in this series of courses. In close coordination with various other disciplines, the institute organizes more of the curriculum in required modules XII, XIV, XX and XXI. We also supervise diploma students, doctoral candidates and specialists in training.

Weiterbildung

Postgraduate training

The wide range of professional development opportunities at the Medical University of Graz is directed at a variety of occupational groups in the fields of medicine, science and research, nursing and health services. Most of the professional development courses can be completed while the participant is regularly employed and provide him/her with a valuable additional qualification.

All requests must go through the Med Uni Graz International Office. At peripheral KAGes hospitals, rotations can be organized directly by students.
